About Us

Like a lot of you that are probably reading this right now, I spent a lot of time thinking that maybe some day in the far off future I would like to start a winery. I thought if that is what I wanted, maybe I should get a little experience. So, I went around and started asking a lot of questions while I was out wine tasting. I got a lot of really good advice from a lot of really talented wine makers, and winery owners. Most of the time, the advice was to just enjoy drinking wine and forget about starting a winery. Owning a winery is not a fast path to riches or glory.

Eventually, a couple of winemakers suggested I come help them at harvest time, and perhaps take some of the fruit they were harvesting to make some of my own wine. I did just that, and made one and a half tons of Zinfandel and 1 ton of Syrah from the 2003 Harvest out of a vineyard in San Luis Obispo. It was a lot of work, but I had a great time. Come 2004, I decided I would do it again. This time I made 2 tons of Zinfandel, 2 tons of Cabernet Sauvignon, and 2 tons of Syrah. Everything with the 2003 wine was going great, and the 2004 got off to a great start as well. As time went on, 2005 approached and I realized that I had an awful lot of wine that I had made, but no real way to sell it. Hence the winery pretty much started itself.

While we started in the Central Coast, over the years we have gone to sourcing most of our fruit from Napa, Sonoma, and the North Coast. We have accumulated a lot of friends along the way. We have almost 200 wine club members, and over 1,000 friends on facebook. If you have been in before, we would like to welcome you back. Come check out the new kitchen, and the great food coming out of it. If you have not been in before, make a plan of it. We have some great wine, great food, and great entertainment just waiting for you to stop in.

If you are still reading this, and thinking that maybe someday you would like to go down this path, get in touch with us. Perhaps you can help us with our harvest and winemaking this year!
